Lab Build: Day 0 - 14/03/17

My lab has always been on the table of projects to be started, but it wasn't going to happen for a while as plans had to be submitted and the builders had to become available. However, only a few days ago we were informed that the builders had a job cancelled on them and so could start the lab build that same week. Before the footings could be dug, the entire area needed clearing and tidied to give room for the work to commence. The back of my garden is full of junk metal, slabs, wood, old gardening equipment and a shed that all had to be cleared. There was also out fire pit that needed emptying and have its surrounding brick layer removed.

Me and my friends spent the following 2 days clearing the area and moving things up the garden into the house. The entire shed was emptied too.

Damn you storm Doris, taking out the wrong tree!

The garden was only half the work. The entire back room (which was my temporary workshop) had to be completely emptied so the builders could get all of their equipment through. My tools and projects are now spread about the house.

Official construction can now commence tomorrow.

2017 Update (Big Reveal...)

How's it going guys? Sorry for not updating this blog in such a long time, so much has gone on over the years and so I haven't had as much time for projects and even less time dedicated to writing blog posts. A large part of this was due to Project Exodus which is now complete (for the most part). I am also spending a lot of time studying and revising for exams as well as trying to update things on my main YouTube channel. I am also getting prepped for studying electrical and electronic engineering at university.

But all that's about to change! Finally, after years of anticipation, preparation, planning, drafting and redrafting, I am finally getting my own lab. I will at long last have a proper workshop where I can work on all of my projects with adequate room and the proper utilities. I will have dedicated work space for mechanical engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, chemical engineering, raw material storage, equipment storage and even power distribution. This is a large scale, long awaited and exciting project that I cant wait to get working on. Before I can even think about starting new experiments I will need to outfit the entire interior of the facility with the help of my friends. Whats more is that I will have a dedicated video series on a second channel to document the entire process along with all of my future projects.

As construction has already started, more updates and information as well as regular progress reports/video logs and images of the labs construction will be posted in the coming days.

Quantum Eraser Experiment

Today I decide to do the quick and easy do it at home double split experiment along with quantum eraser to show lights wave particle duality property. (Sorry for no posts in a while, been working on the Tesla project)

Massive New Project

07/07/2014 - New Inductance Meter

Finally got my first Inductance meter that measures up to a maximum of 20 Henrys. I already have a multimeter that does pretty much everything apart from this. This meter can also do capacitance and resistance that is also an added bonus. This is a vital part when making a DC resonant charging Tesla Coil.

27/06/2014 - More CRT's

So the local school was throwing away some old CRT's. I ACQUIRED THEM! Thats another 4 flyback transformers for me!

11/06/2014 - Lifter Experiments

Sorry for not updating in a while, i've been busy (as usual). I decided to do a few experiments with ionocrafts. They use a principle called electrostatic levitation to hover in mid air. It sort of failed as a flyback would be better than an NST in this instance. I will be sure to do this as a proper project in the future, hell maybe ill make a whole Cokcroft-Walton for it!

Oh yeah, a fire sort of happened! =D
