Lab Build: Plastics And Dry

Roofing - 11/04/17

The roof is finished. The builders worked fast as usual and finished placing the chipboard over the whole support structure before coating it with the first layer of chemicals to water proof it. They then added the plastic sides to it and rolled out a flexible fiberglass sheet to cover the whole roof. Finally they coated it all with a thick resin that set to form a final layer and gives it its grey color.

Today the plastics arrived which includes the guttering and fascias to bridge the gap between the roof and the masonry. I also spoke with an electrician today and went through all the power requirements including sub panels, current capacity and socket placements. It also looks like we will be running an armored cat5e cable along side the primary concentric power cable for super fast internet.

Next post should be accompanied with a video log on the channel as well as a rundown on our power plan.
